MDIS was presented with a very meaningful customer request: to create a touch screen video wall interactive showpiece that displayed noteworthy alumni and their respective achievements. The AV system is prominently displayed in the lobby of the university’s engineering school building, and is interacted with hundreds of times daily by lobby patrons. MDIS installed a 2x2 wall mounted video wall from Phillips Display, with a 100”+ TSI Touch touchscreen overlay across all four screens, to create a massive “tablet” that could be used by the building’s guests. MDIS then created a custom HMTL5 programming interface along with one of our strategic partners ALT Detroit, that showed an array of noteworthy alumni’s photos that could each be 'touched' to expand into a full biography of that alumni’s respective engineering accomplishments. The entire interface is intuitive and seamless to operate, and is elegantly color-schemed to match the university’s green and gold school colors and branding. MDIS is proud to have helped this university communicate to its current students the power of engineering and the positive impact that their hard work will have on society, through the stories of the school’s previous noteworthy alumni.
